As you may or may not know, Ron Paul is one of the Republican candidates running for President, who is a representative of the 14th District of Texas. One who is not mentioned much. Over the last month and a half I have filled out and sent postcards to many representatives to support H.R. 333. Postcards I had downloaded from AfterDowningStreet.org. Within the past 2 weeks or more the letters I am recieving back are pouring in. I had mailed the postcards off to probably about 2/3rds of the representatives, but the letters I've been getting back haven't been too promising. Some letters I got back, the representatives forwarded my mail to Ron Kind, my representative. Who knows how many postcards the guy has from me now! But, it did send a message to the ones who wouldn't anwer anything to me and just forwarded everything. The representatives who did answer nicely used many excuses that I am already used to hearing and quite frankly am getting quite tired of. But Ron Paul has sent me a letter that is very promising and I would hope he will continue to stand up for the people in this matter and show support towards our cause, though I have very little faith left in the Republican party, that is why I switched parties. But here is the letter from Ron Paul.

Thank you for contacting my office regarding your support for the impeachment of Vice President Richard Cheney. You may be interested to know that I recently voted for an amendment denying taxpayer support to the Vice President. Also, you may be aware that Nany Pelosi, the Democratic Speaker of the House of Representatives, has announced that the House of Representatives will not consider impeachment legislation in the 110th Congress.
I have been speaking out against the unneccessary and unconstitutional Iraq war since it was first revealed that plans were being made to go to war with Iraq. I have also spoken out against the waste of taxpayer funds on the war, since that money would be better spent on improving the lives of the American people than on war.
As a member of the House Committee on International Relations, I will continue to work to expose the fallacies behind the arguments for war and to combat those who would spend American blood and treasure on their misguided visions of empire. I will also continue to fight against expansion of the PATRIOT Act and all schemes to restrict individual liberty and expand the police state.
Thank you once again for contacting my office. Please feel free to do so in the future with any questions, comments, or suggestions.
Sincerely,
Ron Paul
