The Peoples March for Peace, Equality, Jobs, and Justice was held on Saturday, August 25th in Newark, NJ. It brought thousands of pleas for Impeachment of Bush and Cheney. John Conyers was there to promote the National Health Insurance bill, H.R. 676. But the cries for Impeachment were center stage.
Conyers replied to their pleas for Impeachment by saying they need to bring back Rumsfeld and put him on trial. When asked who would be first, the Impeachment crowd replied "Cheney". Some Impeach activists in the crowd asked him, "When are you going to act on this?" To which he replied he was going to meet with impeachment activists. He pointed backstage.

NOTE TO BLOG READERS: According to what I read on this from the article in OpEdNews, there are rumors that Conyers may actually sign on to H.R. 333. Some say he agreed to sign on to it on Monday, which is today. But he told them that they are not in session on Monday. Knowing that Conyers is in charge of whether to put H.R. 333 to impeach Cheney, "On The Table", other than Nancy Pelosi who has taken Impeachment "Off The Table," this was quite something. But it is hard to believe Conyers because he has flip-flopped so many times on the issue of Impeachment. He sometimes would lead the people to believe he would help to bring this issue to the floor, only to back off of it and say Impeachment was not possible. It is a wait and see thing with him. I would hold my breathe until he actually signs the thing. Which means I might actually would die before he ever does sign onto something like that.
