In reviewing some of the things that need worked on by the people of this nation, I have come to these conclusions. These are the things we have been working on and will work on in the future. In viewing the events of the past few days it is clear we need to work on our government to clear Blackwater out of Iraq, as illegal activity has been going on with this group and they have killed innocent Iraqis. Talk of weapons smuggling has been going on pertaining to this group. We must push hard to have them removed and held accountable, although they fall out of U.S. military and Iraqi military laws there must be something that the U.S. and Iraqi governments can do.
We must continue our efforts to press Congress not to go to war with Iran simply because the President and Vice-President say so. Proper investigations must be done first, they pose no IMMEDIATE threat, and going to war with Iran would be far more disastrous for everyone, including Iranian civilians, than we could ever imagine. I believe a nuclear war could emerge here eventually. Another nuclear war would be devastating for all human life as our ozone could not take anymore of these chemicals added to it. We could not survive.
Iran is years away from developing their own nuclear weapon. Some countries, including us, are allowed to have nuclear weapons on hand. If we condemn Iran for having the ability to produce nuclear power, without even having developed a weapon yet, then the U.S. should disarm their own nuclear facilities and get rid of all of their weapons as well. All the other countries with nuclear weapons should then disarm as well their nuclear facilities and weapons and shut down all activities. Going to war with Iran would not be proper at this time. It would be much worse than Iraq, and once started there would be no way to stop it.
We must continue on pressing the issue of Iraq, to put an end to this illegal occupation of it. Our troops must come home immediately. More deaths will occur on the U.S. side and Iraqi side, Iraqi civilians also. The U.S. must put an end to the mistake they have started. They must put all their efforts to assigning more troops to the Afghanistan and Pakistan borders where Al Qaida has been allowed to rebuild their forces and hide. This is how more Al Qaida are appearing in Iraq, you can't stop this unless you go to the source, which is the Afghanistan and Pakistan borders.
Get the people responsible for the 9/11, not the Iraqis. If this had been done in the beginning Osama Bin Laden would have been captured by now, I am 100% sure of it. The one and only positive thing that has come out of being in Iraq is the fact that Saddam Hussein had been captured and paid the price for his sins. It was proven some time ago that Saddam was not even involved with Osama Bin Laden and the 9/11 attacks. He did not pose an immediate threat to us at that time. Iraq should not have been invaded.
We all must push for the Impeachment of Bush and Cheney. We must end the corruption that has been allowed to continue in the executive branch and has even been done in the judicial branch as well. The legislative branch, Congress, has not done anything about this issue. Maybe they haven't touched it because they are afraid of the president and vice-president, they haven't touched this issue because they are afraid it will further divide the country. It is further dividing the country already because Congress is not doing anything about it, the president is allowed more imperial powers to rule and in turn he trashes parts of the Constitution and replaces it with junk to be able to rule over someones life.
By impeaching the president and vice-president we would restore the Constitutional rights we are supposed to have by holding this administration accountable, by impeaching the president and vice-president the congress will actually show they have some kind of balls in all this and their approval ratings would start going up and not continue to go down.
The people are frustrated with Congress's inability to get things done. Their inability to get things done is because they do not do anything about Bush and Cheney, Bush and Cheney gain more power, Bush continues to veto and threaten to veto bills where Congress refuses to bend to his will. Then Bush gets on TV and bashes Congress and makes them look bad for not getting a bill to his desk to sign. People, Bush is doing it and Congress refuses to "grow a set" and do something about it. More could actually be done in the long run if they would have impeached him a long time ago.
Impeachment is long overdue, Congress has the ability to Impeach, they have the evidence to impeach, it is the peoples right according to the Constitution to demand impeachment. But Congress gives the excuse also that it would take time away from getting other important things passed through legislation. What important things can be passed if Bush continues to veto it and his loyal "Bushies" (Republican majority and some conservative Democrats) block the legislation? Most of the money that could go to these important projects are being spent for Bush's war.
To stop the illegal occupation and give the money back to the American people, to give the American people more help instead of less help, to get important things done in Congress, IMPEACHMENT MUST HAPPEN. We cannot let these powers the Bush regime now has to go on to the next administration, we must stop it now at all costs. No more pussy footing around Congress. Get it done.
We all must work to get "loyal Bushies" out of Congress this next election. We must get the majority of Republicans out, we must get the Democrats out who are loyal to him. We have been working hard on this and we must work that much harder in the coming months. Voting Independent might be a way to go as some have suggested. Democrats are not working hard enough to make this administration be held accountable. So far they've just been talk, although Democrats are now held higher above that of Republicans because of all the scandals going on in the administration and it's party.
For many years I voted Republican, but the party I once believed in and it's values it once held is no longer. Democrats are now looked up to more, but even Democrats have not done enough to help us Americans. If we all went Independent it might send a message. But that also comes with the risk that some of our votes may end up helping the republicans in the long run. But it may be a risk we have to take to get the message across that we will not take it anymore from these people, Republican or Democrat.
These things must end, and it ends with you. The power must be restored to the people, I will accept no less.
