SALEM, Ore. - A House Resolution to impeach U.S. Vice-President Dick Cheney, Dennis Kucinich’s H.R. 799, is gathering more support. The national impeachment continues to grow and generate increasing interest since being referred to the House Judiciary Committee last month, a Kucinich spokesperson said.0102 07
As a member of that committee, Representative Robert Wexler and two other committee members, Luis Gutierrez and Tammy Baldwin, have joined together in demanding that the legal action against Cheney moves forward.
Congressman Robert Wexler of Florida is just one elected official who says the charges are too serious to ignore.

We must act now to stop a war on Iran
A message from Ramsey Clark
We must resolve now to do all within our power to remove George W. Bush, Vice President Cheney and other civil officers who bear responsibility for the high crimes and misdemeanors of the Bush Administration from office, by impeachment, as the Constitution requires us to do.
While he remains president, George W. Bush will not let anything stand in the way of his plans to attack Iran. When the National Intelligence Estimate disclosed in early December 2007 that Iran had abandoned plans to develop nuclear weapons several years earlier, President Bush conceded he knew this even when he spoke months earlier of "World War III" with Iran. Rather than offering a ray of hope that his plans for Iran might change, on the day the new Intelligence Estimate was announced, he responded that Iran has been a threat, is still a threat, will remain a threat, and ... Message From MoveOn, Petition To Sign
-04 December 07 - 11:12
Dear MoveOn member,
If you're like us, you've been trying to block out the drumbeats of war coming from the Bush Administration. After all, Iraq is such a mess that it's hard to even imagine the disastrous results if they go through with their plans to attack Iran.1
But all signs point to the fact that they are reckless enough to do it, so it's time to do more than just cross our fingers and hope. We've got to act. And quick.
Congress can step in and block President Bush from launching a war without approval—there are bills on the table to do that today. But unless our representatives hear from Americans like us that this is a big priority, those bills are unlikely to move forward. Can you take a moment to urge your members of Congress to sign on today? ... (more)

“They are advocates. We are leaders.”
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in regards to “Anti-war activists.”
People of America, this is truly the problem with what was once a Representative Republic and now is a country run by “elected” officials who believe that they, individually and collectively, are above any accountability and are not answerable to their constituents. Our public servants erroneously believe that they are the leaders!
Ms. Pelosi made this statement to a group of reporters at a luncheon recently and she also went off on activists who have been participating in vigils outside of her chi-chi home in the Pacific Heights district of San Francisco. The people who are vigiling outside her house regularly, in a Pelosi Watch are only exercising their rights as American citizens to make their concerns known to a Rep who was elected from a district that is wholeheartedly against the occupation of ... Bush's Wiretaps: Impeachment not Immunity
Two years ago, the NY Times revealed George Bush has been illegally wiretapping our phones and emails for years. Bush publicly admitted signing the authorizations for illegal wiretaps over 30 times.
Bush's warrantless wiretaps are a flagrant violation of the Fourth Amendment. And under the 1978 FISA law, the penalty for each of Bush's illegal wiretaps is up to $10,000 and 5 years in prison. Bush may have wiretapped millions of Americans, so he should not only be impeached, but he should spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Incredibly, "Bush Dog" Democrats led by House Majority Steny Hoyer not only refuse to impeach ... (more)
